Wow, im really bad at this blogger thing!!

Hello!

So, I know I always go for ages then make another blog post and say sorry about not posting for ages! So im not going to do that this time. I would like to think you can understand why I have not been posting on my blog when I say I have been a rather poorly/busy student!

I had an essay to do, and I never knew how difficult university would be! I kind of thought it would be as easy as college, where you spend about a month learning about 1 topic then you go off and write an essay about it, hand it in, get it back then make it better to get a better grade, but no!

You basically go into lectures and seminars (most of them are not helpful).... And the person stood at the front would talk about some random stuff, then you would get your essay questions, pick one and go into the library to find loads of books about this topic because you dont actually know anything about it and therefore have to teach yourself something, then go away and write an essay. Then! You only get 1 chance to submit it, so if its rubbish you just fale!!!

This is really difficult for me because im not somebody who can teach myself something. I can go off and learn more about a topic, but I have to understand the topic a little bit before I go off and get research.... So I finally did a 2500 word essay, the day before it needed to be handed in. I also have one to be handed in next week, so instead of researching about feminization I thought I would come on here and moan to you about how difficult university is!!

As you would have read up there^^ iv been poorly... Iv lost my voice, got a horrible cough that sounds like iv been smoking 40-a-day for the whole 18 years iv been on this earth, I cannot breath because my asthma is bad and I have so much gunk in the back of my nose and throat. I know, I just painted a lovely picture for you! But anyway, I took time off uni because iv been so tired and felt like crap, so I thought I would just relax and hopefuly get better ASAP... However, that did not work for me! And iv obviously missed so much at uni!!!! I found out I have another essay that needs to be in sometime, then I have 3 little tasks to do which needs to be handed in for the start of december. And I know youre thinking "thats plenty of time" but no, I also have a life!!!

But some good news, I found out im getting some reward because I got top marks at college!!! Which means shopping, shopping, shopping, alcohol, and more shopping (:

Another Hair Post

So for those of you who read my blog post when I dyed my hair red, I did dye it again so it went really red. Then I got bored of being red, so I decided to dye it purple. However, the purple didnt go to plan so it went really dark, and I did not like it at all! So I decided to leave it for about a week to see if it grew on me, and it didnt!

(I dont have pictures of the boxs because I binned the box before I could make this post. I also dont have pictures as my memory card is broken!!!).

A while ago, my boyfriends sister bought some kit from Boots which is the colour B4, it basically strips your hair of any dye, which means it goes back to your origional hair colour, or if you have bleached it, it goes back to the blonde colour. I decided to get this kit, which was £10.20 for the regular strength or £10.25 for the extra strength. I decided to get the extra one as I thought my hair would benefit from it as my hair is so dark!

I have just applied the colour B4, so I am sat here typing this while im waiting for it to do its magic! First of all you get 3 bottles, A is the activator, B is the remover and C is a shampoo. You put A inside B and mix them together like you do with any other dye, however I think the design of bottle A could be better. This is because you couldnt really squeeze all the product out the bottle, and you had to wait for it to drip out. This may mean there is a lot of product still in the bottom of the bottle. You then have to apply it all to your hair, and wait 30 mins for the regular one and 60 mins for the extra one. The second thing I would change about this kit, is the smell. It smells like out of date eyelash glue. And for those of you who have never smelt that, it smells like rotten fish. Also the fumes that come off this product are so strong! I am literally sat here sneezing and my nose is really really runny. Also, I have asthma and this product made me really out of breath, so I had to stop half way through and step out my room so I could take inhaler. I then came back in and opened my window and door as wide as I could. So I think I would reccomend you didnt use this kit in a small room, and if you do, open the windows and door!!! Another probelm is that on the instructions they supply, it says to make sure the room is not cold and there is no draft as this makes the process slower, but I would rather make the process slower and be able to breath!

I have had this product on for around 15 mins, and I can see the bleached bits of my hair coming through again! You also get a lot of product in this. I have long-ish hair which means I often only just have enough dye left when I dye my hair, but I applied this product all over my hair, and still had a lot left, so I went back making sure I had put it everywhere.

I did plan on taking pictures of the boxs I used and my hair at every step, but as I said before my memory card is broken, so I will link the Colour B4. I think you can only get this in the bigger boots shops, as I went into a smaller one while I was waiting for my train home, and they didnt have it in there.

After 45 mins, I can see that my hair is changing colour, but it still really really smells! Iv just looked on youtube too, and everybody said something about the smell! My head is also really itchy, I just want to scratch it so much!!

I have now washed it off, and used the shampoo, it is soooo bubbly! And you get lots of it, so I didnt use it all. My hair still smells really bad. And its made my hair a bit ginger, so im going to go dye over it soon!

I dont think I will use this again, just because of the smell... But if the smell was no longer there, then I may use it again.

Little Uni Talk

Hey everybody!

So if you read my last blog post, you would know I started uni last monday.

For those of you who dont know, the first week of uni is always freshers week. Which means you just go into uni to meet your personal tutor, meet other people on your course, find out about your course, meet some of the teachers who would be working with you and loads more stuff. Then at night, a ton of different things are set up so that students can meet different students!

So my freshers week has ended! It was fun and this is what I did (its not much):

Monday.

I went into uni at 10, because I lost the paper telling me what time I needed to be in! So I went to the building me and my sister went to, and a nice man told me I need to get my student ID, and he told me to follow the yellow arrows which were painted on the floor. So I followed them (it was a rather long walk.... It would have been better if he just sent me through the building and told me to join the line!). So while in the line I started talking to a girl, shes doing criminology so we would probably end up in the same talk things. After we got our ID we had to wait around until 2pm, so we went to the pub/cafe that is on the uni campus! And we got some dinner (which was really nice), and we spoke. Then we went to the meeting at 2pm which was just talking about the different things the uni offers, and told us who we should go talk to if we have any problems. After this we went back into the pub/cafe just to talk. We then met another girl, and we all planned to go to a band night that was going to be taking place in the pub/cafe later on that night. So I then went home, and met up with the girls later on. While there we sat near some guys because all the tables were taken up, so then we got talking to them. We did plan to go to town after the band night had finished, because it finished at around 12am. But then I found out I have to be in uni the next day at 9.30am, so because it takes me around an hour to get to uni, then an hour to get dressed. I decided I would just go home and see the girls the next day (I still havent seen the second girl since then).

Tuesday.

We had to go to a welcome event in one of the buildings, which was just us being told about the course, and we were given breakfast, tea/coffee/orange juice (I dont like any of these, so I had water, which had bits in it, so I left it). I met a woman that is on my course, who is a lot older than me (like my mum and dads age). She was nice, but I felt odd walking around with somebody old enough to be my parent. After the welcome breakfast we walked to a different building which was going to be different teachers saying hi. So after the talk we went different ways, and I met up with the girl I met on the first day.

We then had a huge wait because the meeting only lasted around 40-50 minutes. So we ended up in the pub/cafe and again had some dinner! After 2 hours I went to the library because we had to go to a talk which was telling us about the computers, which failed because I didnt know my log in details as I lost this paper too! The girl I met had to go to the same meeting an hour later, so I didnt go in with her. I felt really shy so ended up just sitting there playing snake on my nokia (Y) After the talk, I went straight to my boyfriends house, and we popped our dominos pizza cherry!!! We then went to the pub to watch football, and I ended up getting a bit tipsy.

Wednesday.

I was supposed to go into uni for 11pm, for a talk about some of the things we would be learning about (this happened to be the one thing I was looking forward to the most!!!). However, I was late :( So I missed this talk, and just waited in the cafe/pub for the girl because she was in the meeting, she said it was really good which made me even more gutted about missing it! But we ate some dinner, and after 2 hours of waiting around, we went off to meet our personal tutors. I really liked mine. You know when you get old people who are really nice, and they just blab on for hours about nothing. But you just sit there taking in every word because you find them so interesting? Yes, hes on of them old people! I didnt meet all the people who were going to be in my personal tutor group thing as his office was really small and only had enough room for him and 4 other people. So I went in with 1 girl and 2 guys. They were really nice, and after the meeting we all walked to a different building so we could find out or timetable because the ones they sent us in the post were wayyyy too confusing! I then went home, then went to my boyfriends house! And we went bowling (:

Thursday.

So thursday was a marquee set up where we go in and its like different places trying to get us to go to them, so they were giving our loads of free stuff. It was also set for friday too. So me and the girl wasnt that bothered about it because we could go the next day. So we met up and we sat in the pub/cafe and spoke until really late. I then got to my boyfriends around half 7-8, and my boyfriend made me food.

Friday.

I met up with the girl and we went to the marquee and got loads of free stuff, including dominos pizza. There were loads of people walking around dressed as big dominos pizza boxs, giving out pizza vouchers! So I got loads of them :D We then went home, and met up at around half 7. Then we went back to her place and drank alcohol. Then went into town and tried out a few clubs but they cost a lot of money and wasnt that good inside. So we met up with my boyfriend and his friends and had a good night! I think its safe to say I got rather drunk, dont remember a lot of things, and am scared of showing my face, just incase I made myself look stupid. But hey, I guess everybody has been there!

Tomorrow, I have to go in to my first lesson, and im really scared incase im too stupid to actually pass the course!! But I guess if you put the time and effort into something, you can do it!

Little Catch Up

So I havent posted on here for a long time! Im really sorry about that :3

So, I thought I would just post giving you an update!

First of all, my holiday was amazing! I cant remember if I said in my last post, but I went to Tenerife with my boyfriend for a week... I wish we went for longer, but not too long to wait until our next holiday!

It felt so weird not wearing make up or doing my hair, it literally took me 5-10 minutes to get ready!! It also felt weird wearing hardly any clothes, and showing off my body! Because im really not confident with my body, so I always wear jackets! So because I did have a lot of skin on show, I have a tan!! Which was obviously going to happen because it was late 20s early 30s in temp. Before I went on holiday, I hated the idea of having a tan because I hated the fact that brown skin isnt my natural skin colour, because I am naturally pale, and I used to like that. But I think I like me with a tan! But I wouldnt use sun beds or fake tan!! I also found out that my family thought I looked ill when I was pale :o

On other news, I start university tomorrow!! I am so nervous and excited at the same time. But I lost the piece of paper that said what time I need to go to the university, and I really dont want to be late on my first day!! I think I might just get there for 10 and hope I dont have to wait too long. And if I do, ill just walk around and look at the university. I have been there before, so I know how to get there and what building I am in, so I wont be going to the wrong room!! I have bought everthing I need, and know what shoes I will be wearing tomorrow, so I just need to pick the rest of my outfit, paint my nails, have a shower then get an early night (which I know will not happen!).

So the shoes I will be wearing are my new white converse!! I have wanted a pair for a long time! But iv never had the money, until now! I did my student finance really late, and wont be getting it until the 26th, which isnt that long to wait. But because I am with Natwest, I have got a student overdraft that I will be using until I get my student finance money. I did work, but I gave it up as I needed to have 3 weekends off (they wouldnt give me that long because I worked part time) because I had my birthday then my holiday coming up, so I thought I should just leave so I could go out for my birthday!! Because you just cannot stay in when you turn 18.

I bought an eye shadow from Tenerife, and its a really nice shimmery purple, so its encouraged me to try doing brighter eye shadow looks. I did just used to wear a skin coloured shadow all over my lid, then put a brown colour into my crease. But now iv been putting silver eyeliner pencil all over my lid, then blending an eye shadow into the crease, then blending the shadow and the silver together (today I have pink and black shadow on).

Im not sure what else to write about, so I guess I will leave it at that (:

Veet Spray On Hair Removal Cream Dry Skin

Hey everybody!

So I havent make a blog post in a long time! Well in 10 days, but still!

So I as you may know, I am going on holiday on tuesday! So excited!! So because the last thing you want on holiday is hairy/prickly legs! And you really dont want to have to bother with shaving and all that while on holiday. So I decided to get some of the veet hair removal cream, simply because my sister has some, and she said its really good!

So I went down to the shop and bought it for around £3-£4... It does cost more, but I bought mine from B&M which is a cheap shop I used to work at.

I then decided to use it tonight (:

So first of all, the instructions are inside the lid! I didnt know this and had to go on the internet to see how to use it.... So you basically spray the spray onto your  DRY legs, and wait around 4 minutes (I waited 3 at first and had to use a razor to shave away the bits that didnt work). You then use the pink thing to remove the foam!

Now this product smells so bad! So if youre one of them people who cannot use a product if it stinks, this isnt for you... However, I am not that easily put of a product because of the smell, but the smell of this product could actually put me of! Its one of them smells, that if youre hung over or feel sick, it would make you puke!!

After you have removed all the foam, you then wash your legs.

Next time I use this, I would probably use the product, then jump in the shower and wash my legs like normal.

So my legs do feel very smooth! Like smoother than when you shave them... Also! No cuts! Which I often get because I like to use a new razor a lot, so the blade is always sharp. The product did not burn my legs or anything. I would say the only bad thing is the smell. I think next time I will open the window or something because my bathroom still smells really bad!

I will do an update blog post to say how long it has lasted.

Update!

So iv not posted a blog post in a while! But a lot of things have happened since!

First of all: ITS MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!

Yes, I am 18... Well after 2.30pm I will be 18, but lets not get all technical about it!

So today I woke up at 7.30am because my boyfriend text me to say happy birthday, which is sweet! But why that early? It was my fault though because I knew I would be getting texts and phone calls off my family. My Grandad even text me to say happy birthday!! Which is weird because he has never done that before! At around 8am builders came to fit solar panels onto our roof, if could have been done by now but my Dad forgot our (mine and my twins) birthday today. I had to empty my room yesterday because my room is the only room they need to come in, and they havent even got around to doing the work in here! So ill be having a messy/empty room for a few more days :/

So my Mum and Dad gave us our presents (we didnt give each other presents this morning because we got really excited and gave them at 12am), Nana came around with presents and said happy birthday, then she went to pick up our birthday cake, because thats just her role when its somebodies birthday. My big sister then made bacon butties (which were lovely! And I dont really like bacon, but I wouldnt say no to another one!!). She then gave us some money which couldnt go in the card because they were moon pig ones!!! So yea.

And now im just sat down, waiting for my twin to come back from her boyfriends college, then my big sister is driving us to my college which I left in July because we need one of our tutors to sign our student finance forms so we can get money when we go to university!

Speaking of university, I finally got a letter telling me what building I am going to be in when I first go there (19th september), so me and my  big sister went to see where it was because she had to go in to hand work in so I went a long with her!

Its now less than 2 weeks until me and my amazing boyfriend go on holiday (forgot where im going, but it some where that starts with a T?). I now have £220 so far, with my birthday money added into the funds, I havent seen the rest of my family and im guessing they will give me holiday money. And I get paid tomorrow which means ill have money to go celebrate turning 18 tomorrow and ill have holiday money!

Another thing that has happened is I have finished work :( I hated the job, but I am going to miss the amazing people who work there! My last day was rather remotional, but I managed to keep my tears in... They gave me a box of chcolates and a card, then everybody gave me a hug, which meant my eyes started to fill up but I kept them in! I have managed to add 1 person on facebook, but I cannot find the rest of the people! So im going to go into work on saturday to get my pay slip, then ask people to write their names down because I dont know any of their second names!

Last saturday was my boyfriends 20th birthday, feels weird saying im going out with a 20 year old!!! I spent all my money on him, so iv been living off other peoples money, so iv managed to create a rather big debt!

Oh so the rest of today is going to go as follows:

- Go to the doctors at 5 to get the pill and eye drops, as my eyes are buggered! I am litterally wearing no eye make up today, apart from mascara... So I feel naked!

-Wait for the boyfriend to get here and get more presents!

- Get ready (around 2 hours before we need to leave).

-Meet up with family, and more presents!

-Eat really nice Indian food.

-Get a little bit tipsy.

-Come home, and go bed!

A Book Review?

So as you can tell from the title of this blog post, this is going to be a book review! Now I know this is a totally different post to my other posts, so if you dont want to read a book review, I dont mind if you dont bother reading! But I just want to talk about this book as I think it is a beautiful book.

So the book I am going to be reviewing is 'A Child Called It' by Dave Pelzer (I could not take a picture of the book as I cannot find my camera, and the pictures on google are too small, so if you want to see what the book looks like, feel free to google it). So I decided to read this book because my boyfriend has been saying for a few weeks it was so desturbing he couldnt read it, so I wanted to read it. I went on to Amazon and orded it of there, which was £1.17. I didnt want to spend too much on it as I thought if I couldnt read it all then I wouldnt mind it only costing £1.17!!

The book came in the post today, and I started reading it about 12pm, and have only just finished it now (I did stop to get ready half way through reading).

So the blurb on the back of the book says "This million-selling, New York Times number one best-seller, is the author's heart rending story of his struggle to live through a childhood beaten and neglected by his alcoholic mother, eventually finding a family who love him", sounds sad right! So after reading this I can tell you this book is about a little boy called David, who lived with his mum, dad and two brothers. He had a lovely life and his mum was like the dream mother! His dad was a firefighter and often had to work long hours, which means he wasnt at home a lot. For some reason his mothers attitude changed, and she started to shout at him and hit him. The abuse got worse and she did awful things like dislocation his arm, burning him, wiping a dirty babies nappy in his face, starving him, making him do house work and stabbing him etc etc. (I dont want to spoil it for you). After many years of the abuse, which his father never stopped, his father finally left the home which means David had nobody who made him feel safe anymore. Then one day when David is at school he goes to see the school nurse, who finally thinks it is time to phone the police and report the abuse, the police then come and free David from his mother. The layout of this book starts with the story of how David became free from abuse, then says about the good times with his mum (before the abuse), then goes on to say about how the abuse started, got worse and how he could have died many different times.

There are some things Dave says in this book and it just makes you feel sick! Like I said above I had to stop reading and get ready, just because one of the things he said became too much and I just couldnt read anymore. I know childabuse isnt good, but this book is really good! Like the way it is lay out and all the detail, its definately one of them books that once you start reading, you just cannot put down! I would say if youre one of them people who gets easily upset by things like this then this book may not be for you.

At the end of the book there is a bit of writing where Dave is talking about the affect childabuse has on the children in their adult lives, it then talks about his son and him standing next to the river her used to love coming to with his parents when he was a child, then he says how he hugs his son, who tells him he loves him.... Which seriously made my eyes fill with tears! There is then a part where is teacher at school talks about the way he saw David when he was a child.

Im not sure what else to say other than I reccomend you buy this book.

I Freaking HATE Drugs!!!

Hello!

Heres a little rant!

I bloody hate drugs!!! I understand once people get addicted to drugs its really difficult to come off them again, but dont they deserve to suffer for ever taking them! I know thats a bad thing to say seeing as Amy Winehouse has recently lost her life to drugs, but after seeing what could happen why would you still do drugs!!!

I would never try drugs, and it makes me feel sick to think my boyfriend does them when hes with friends!!!

I love my boyfriend to bits, and would hate to see anything happen to him as a result of drugs, he isnt addicted to them and doesnt buy them, but if his friends offered him so he would take them!! I know he wont get addicted to them, but things can go wrong when people play with drugs.

I seriously dont understand why people why people would do them. My boyfriend told me when you smoke weed its just like being drunk and you feel all relaxed, but he would rather just drink alcohol, so I dont understand why he just doesnt drink his pint!

I personally think that anybody found with drugs should be sent to prison for a long time, anybody taking them should be punished and anybody growing them should get sent down for life! I hate drugs so much!!!!!!!!

Asda Nail Varnish

So today I went shopping with my mum and she treated me to some new nail varnish! I have been looking for a pale/lemon yellow kind of colour, but I just cannot seem to find any! So if you know any brands that sell any, please let me know (I know Barry M does, but its not sold at the boots or superdrug near me). So because I was promised a new nail varnish I decided to get one anyway. So I looked at the Asda own brand nail varnish for £1.75! So because theyre so cheap I just couldnt say no to two of them! So I got 56 Swoosh, which is a coral kind of colour then I got 70 Shipwrecked which is a kind of mint green colour.

I have just been painting my nails with Swoosh, then a big ass spider decided to crawl down my wall and pay me a visit! So I only have 1 hand done... This nail varnish drys very quickly, and it doesnt smell like nail varnish, which I love! Id say you only really need 1 coat, but I did another just to make it look brighter. I love the brush, and it makes it very easy to apply... I dont know how staying power or anything like that is because I have only just applied to 1 hand. If the staying power is any good, I think I may start getting these instead of Barry M, as they are a fraction of the price!!

I would take pictures, but its 25 past 11 at night so its not very light in my room!

Dying My Hair Red!!

For about a 10-11 months now (since last october) I have had the front part of my hair bleached and then I was putting wash out dye on the bleached bit, so at the moment its pink, then the rest of my hair is just my natural dark brown colour. But because the dye was a wash out one, it needed doing every week. Since starting work, I have been too tired to do this as it means taking an extra hour in my shower time, which I just cannot be bothered to do!

Then the other day I was watching The Jezza Kyle Show, and there was a lovely woman on it who was really upset about her body after she had given birth to her child, but her hair was lovely! It was like a red colour, but the red wasnt in your face red, and I fell in love with it. So I decided I wanted to dye my hair that colour!

So today I went shopping with my mum, dad and sister and we went into a cheap shop and I decided to have a look at the hair dyes. Then I saw straight away the colour I would like to go, its the Schwarzkopf (can tell I have the box infront of me, seeing how you spell it, and I would be so embarrassed if its spelt wrong!) Colour XXL in Red Passion 43. But then because my hair is different colours, I knew that I would have to get it all one colour before I do the red, or the front of my hair would be a lighter shade of red, and I dont want that! So I bought Schwarzkopf Poly Colour in Warm Brown 38, which is just a dark brown (I have this in right now).

This is the first time I have ever dyed all my hair on my own, so I will have to wait and see how it goes before I tell you. So when its done ill upload pictures and say what I think (:

I think I will get my mum to do my red so I dont miss bits out, because that would just look stupid!

UPDATE!!

After dying my hair the brown colour it was pretty much my natural hair colour, which I think I did really good because I love my natural hair colour. The bleached/pink bits turned a more redish colour, but I didnt think this would be a problem as I was dying it red anyway, so me and my mum were like "it would blend in anyway". I then got my mum to put the red dye in, and we left it for 45 minutes. My hair is now a lot darker than my natural colour. As for the colour its come out, it is slightly red in like bright light, but when its just inside at night it does look black. I like the colour the bleached bits have come out, but I dont know what the back looks like as I cant see the back of my head. I think next time I do dye my hair I will go for another brand and research for the best dye to use, ill also use 2 boxs as I dont feel like just 1 was enough for my hair. It feels really weird to not see bright pink hair when my hair is over my face. I also feel a bit emo because of how dark is looks, also with my dark eye make-up it makes me look a lot more emo! So iv decided to go for a girly outfit today. A-Z Of Me! And A Little Update Thing.

Hello (:

So, i'v not been on here since Monday! Wow! Nothing fun has really happened, apart from me seeing the amazing Harry Potter on Friday, it was so good infact, I am going again tonight! I also went to the dogs yesterday, and to be rather frank, I think it is wrong! Not only are dogs being trained and made to run for our pleasure, they are also given something to make them do sloppy poops so they can run faster!! But, it is a good night. And I made £9!!

Other than that, all i'v really done is sleep and work. So on to the A-Z Of Me (:

Bed Size: Single, wish it was bigger. But it isnt!

Chore you Hate: I hate cleaning. So my mum always does it for me... But I hate when I have to mop the floor at work.

Dogs: I have two dogs. The first (and the best) is Max, he is really old now, I would say about 12. He is also a German Shep, which means he has reached his like maximum age thing. But he is really healthy and still runs around playing, so im guessing he still have a few years left in him! We got him when he was about 7 weeks old, so he's part of the family! My other dog is Alfie, he is a staffie and is about 1 and a half maybe, we got him last August, and he may be the most stupid dog you will ever come across!

Favourite Colour: Pink, purple, green, blue, yellow, orange... Basically bright colours. But pink is my favourite favourtie favourite colour.

Gold or Silver: Silver. Just because I have silver lip bars and a silver tongue bar. So if I wore gold earrings it just looks silly. But, silver earrings make my ears itch so I have to buy ones that are gold but had gems in them so you cant really see the gold.

If money was not an option, I would buy:

Oft, 3rd blog today. Gosh Lauren, you're on a role!!

So iv just been looking at different people's blogs, and I came across Aimee's blog, after reading her if money wasn't an option, I would buy this. I decided I wanted to do something like that! Obviously my blog post isn't going to be as good as Aimees as she did a really cool picture which had all of the things together. But I cannot do that, so I will just try to include the picture within this blog post and write why I want it! Because I am one of them people who go into a shop, or looking online and think "if I had all the money in the world, I would buy this, this and this". So yea! I am going to look at the New Look website, because I just love New Look so much!!

So the first thing is a dress, it is the Sleeveless Pussy Bow Smock which is £27.99. I know this isn't like the most expensive dress ever, but I am 17, which means I do not have a lot of money, and I am also saving up for a holiday which means I do not have the money to spend a lot on a dress. I am also not a dressy person, but if I were somebody who did wear a lot of dresses, this is something I will get! I love the bow and I love that it doesn't show a lot of boobage, as I do not have big boobs so don't really have anything to show off, so I think by having this style it would mean the eye will be taken away from that area. I love that the dress is flowy and girly, but I do not think this will be very good for my body type, but I love the dress on the model and that's all that counts eh?

The next thing I would buy are these Heeled Lace Up Boots which are on sale for £15.00 down from £29.99. Again, I know this isn't a lot of money for a pair of shoes from New Look, but if you're somebody who doesn't really wear heals, then it is a lot of money to spend on a pair of shoes! I didn't like the whole military boot fashion when it was out, but I do really like these. I wouldn't wear them on a night out, but I think they are the type of boots you could wear on a day to day basis.

So this next lot is all the jewellery I would buy, and I look a bit weird because they are all animals, but I like them! So the first one is the Mini Triple Owl Ring which is £4.99. I like this because I am guessing this is going to be a rather big ring, and I think that most other rings this size would be for more than one finger, and I feel like they could be rather uncomfortable. The next thing in my lovely little picture that I made on paint, because I am such a wizz on computers, is the Turtle Ring which is £6.99, I do really like this and by looking at the picture you can see it is one of them rings that you can change the size of, which means you can always wear it on different fingers. Which is really good as the fingers on my right hand are bigger than the ones on my left hand, so by having a ring like this it would mean I could wear it on what ever hand/finger I wanted to! Next is the Embellished Deer Pendant Necklace which is £6.99. I think this could be the most liked thing out of the things I picked! I think I may actually get it at the end of this month (when I get paid). I love how is looks like the deer is looking at you, and it doesn't look daft because you can see the body, and it doesn't look like it is standing in an impossible position. The last thing I picked is the Diamante Rocking Horse Necklace which is £8.99, I love this because I think it would look really nice with a plain white shirt, so will the deer one, but this is just a bit more sparkly as it has gems on it.

Well, that's all the things I have picked this time, I has fun making this blog post, and it must have taken me about an hour! I think I may make these types of blogs again, if you would like to see more like this leave a comment below. I think next time I would pick a different shop. Saved a few lives today!

Heyy!!

So if you read my last blog post you would have seen that I was giving blood today. And it was successful!!!

So I did crap myself just a little bit, but it worked! It took around 5-6 minutes (I am not too sure as I forgot to ask). I still have my plaster thing on, because I am too scared to pull it off... But I will take it off tomorrow when I have a shower (:

Little rant + donating blood + Harry Potter!!

Hello!

So I have just finished watching Louise's and Zoe's youtube video about tips on blogging, and I used some of their tips to redesign my blog. I like it, what do you think? But Louise and Zoe said about this blogging thing being easy, and saying if Louise can do it, anybody can. All I can say is this blogging thing is not easy!! I thought I wasn't that bad at computery stuff because I taught my dad how to use facebook, but no! So far I have learnt how to create new blog posts, without clicking on half a million things. Another thing that's difficult about this blogging thing is the fact that you cannot just search for a certain type of blog, like on youtube if you wanted to watch a make up tutorial on how to do a smokey eye then you type it in the search bar and then a load of videos would pop up for you to click on! But instead there's the 'next blog' button which takes you to one blog which is probably not the type you want to see, and I don't know about you, but when I click to view the next blog, they're never in English?!? But apart from that, I do like this whole blogging thing, I like the idea of having a place to type what ever I feel like typing. Like I could just buy a diary to write what ever I want, but this seems a bit more fun?

Well that's that part of this blog over! Oh! Today! I am donating blood!!!!

I know you're probably like "its only having blood taken from your body and put into another person's body, nothing to get all shouty about it". But, I am scared of needles and pain, so this is something to get shouty about. And I know you're probably like "if you're scared of needles and pain, then why donate blood?" But don't you think it would be good to think that something your body makes on a day to day basis, can save somebodys life? I think that idea is amazing!! Only thing is, this is my 3rd time and the other 2 times have failed. The first time I was mega scared, and when the nurse went to put the needle in, I jumped and she missed and I cried... It was such a mess, and I was left with a huge bruise ): It was last year I think, and my boyfriend still goes on about it. Then the second time, my blood was really slow, and it took longer than 15 minutes to fill the bag. And you only get 15 minutes to fill the bag or the machine cuts off and stops sucking your blood out. So because I didn't fill the bag, they wouldn't take my blood! How rude!! So hopefuly this will be 3rd time lucky!

The other night I had a bad dream and this is weird for me because I don't usually have dreams, or if I do, I don't remember them once I am awake. But I had a dream that I was donating my blood, and they put the needle in my arm, but no blood would come out. So they used something that sucked my blood out. And they sucked too much out! And then I went all weak, and small and ugly. When I was telling my boyfriend about it, I compaired myself to Voldemort at the start of Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix, so now im a bit nervous.

Oh! I mentioned Harry Potter! I am sorry but... Oh My Gosh!! I am so excited!!! I keep seeing the trailer, and I get that weird excited/almost going to puke feeling in my stomach every time. I was looking on the cineworld website, and the 3D glasses and going to be like Harrys!! I have just started reading the books again, and I cannot put them down. Even as I am typing this, I have the book at my side.

Well anyway, I am all out of things to talk about. I might make another blog tomorrow to tell you how donating my amazing blood went. I am trying to make myself eat something even though I am not hungry, just so I don't pass out (not that is has happened before, but my boyfriends dad passed out, and I would hate for my boyfriend to have that over me aswel as the whole crying thing!). So anyway...

First blog?

Hello!!

So I created my blog last night because I was watching Louise's (Sprinkleofglitter) and Zoe's (Zoella280390) youbtube video, and because they often talk about their blog, I decided to finally check them out, and I created a blog so I could follow them and yeaaaaa! I also decided to start blogging because I just finished college today (with DDD!!! Which, if you dont know, is top marks!!!!) so ill have a lot of time on my hands because I only work 2 days a week. But, I think im going to try get another job just for during the week, just until I start university in september!

Well anyway, rant over! I thought I might just use this first blog as a way of letting peple know a bit about me, even though I highly doubt I will get any followers, and it would just end up with me talking to my laptop! But yea:

My name is Lauren, and I am 17 but will be turning 18 on the 25th August. I live in England, and I must say I like that it rains a lot!! As I have already said, I finished college but I was on a Health and Social Care degree, and I will be going to university in september on a Criminology and Sociology degree (makes me sound like a female Einstein doesnt it!). I work in a shop on the tills, and I am saving up to go on holiday with my boyfriend!! Which I a uber excited about!!!

I cannot think of anything else to put, so if I happen to get any followers, and you want to ask something or want to know something then maybe you should leave a comment!!!
